Wanganui Junior Garrison Band trains at Trentham Military Camp.
Note that this is the Junior Band, not the Senior Band!!

Queen Alexandra's Own Regiment Band wins the A Grade Championship of New Zealand.  
   
1975
Kevin Jarrett returns to Wanganui as Musical Director of Queen Alexandra's Own Regiment Band. .
1976
Queen Alexandra's Own Band becomes Tenderkist Wanganui. . .
1978
Tenderkist Wanganui wins the B Grade Championship and becomes an A Grade band . .
1981
Tenderkist Wanganui becomes Warnocks Brass . .
1985
Warnocks Brass becomes Wanganui City Brass  . .
1988
Wanganui City Brass wins the Australian A Grade Championship.    
1993
Wanganui City Brass performs at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.  
1996
Wanganui Garrison Bandroom burns to the ground and is replaced by a brand new building.     
1998
Wanganui City Brass shares the aggregate for the A Grade Championship of New Zealand with Dalewool Brass of Auckland. However, they are relegated to second place on a rule that states that in the event of a tie, the band scoring higher in the Test shall be deemed the winner.   . .
2000
Kevin Jarrett retires after 25 years of service as Musical Director of Wanganui City Brass.
Wanganui Garrison and Wanganui City Brass amalgamate to create Brass Wanganui.
